To service customers by processing orders, scheduling shipments, resolving issues, and providing assistance as needed. Act as an advocate between the company and customers to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Process customer orders taken by phone, fax, or email in a timely and efficient manner.
Respond to inquiries for information relating to orders, shipments, or general information in a timely manner.
Coordinate with plant production to schedule orders for shipment.
Coordinate with Traffic to insure timely delivery of orders.
Data entry for processing orders, building account information, and maintaining schedules and spreadsheets.
Become familiar with customer requirements, products, and plants.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned customers and respective Regional Sales Managers.
Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers to maintain current pricing agreements, pricing discounts, and to resolve credit or pricing issues in a timely manner.
Work directly with customers and Regional Sales Managers to resolve service issues or complaints.
Provide back up to other Sales Order Processors as needed.
Other duties as directed by Customer Service Supervisor, Customer Service Manager, or the V.P. of Sales and Marketing.
High School degree required. Some college courses would be preferred.
Minimum two (2) years customer service experience required.
Individual must always practice a high level of integrity in their daily work and maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
Must possess sufficient computer skills to take and process orders, as well as to develop and maintain spreadsheets and schedules.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Must have demonstrated an ability to work with customers and resolve issues. Excellent organizational skills required.
Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Must have the ability to read and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Good communication, grammar, spelling, and math skills required.
